Simulation and Virtual Prototyping services are the cornerstones of TSI's engineering history.
TSI’s skilled engineers provide our clients a diverse range of simulation solutions, providing a path to understanding and optimization as well as high levels of confidence in situations where testing is prohibitively expensive, or failures are not an option. With experts in structural mechanics, mechanisms, advanced materials and multi-physics, we can confidently tackle the most challenging problems from component/system level models up to extremely complete assemblies.
TSI provides in-house and onsite simulation services for a range of applications including; contract simulation services, ongoing production support and staffing, advanced methods development, training and mentoring
TSI has extensive experience with linear and nonlinear components, structures and assemblies in the static, transient and dynamic domains.
Complementing static modeling is modeling of vibration, random response, sine sweep and transient (shock) response of systems. Subsets include fatigue and durability.
TSI's experience spans drop-test to vehicle-to-vehicle crash. These are typically extremely complex model assemblies with very complex material properties. TSI has demonstrated capability modeling systems as complex at 7M element full-vehicle crash models, with exceptional correlation to real-world testing.
MBD is used to simulate performance of mechanisms and mechanical systems. TSI has used MBD extensively to predict and develop the behaviour of complex machines, including motion path generation, loads development, vehicle dynamics modeling, stability and controllability analysis and human-mechanism interactions.
Extending beyond mechanical systems, TSI, and our sister firm, TSI-Labs, is putting human factors in the forefront of simulation and product development. Digital human modelling, ergonomics, and product optimization are keys to this field of work.
Numerical modeling is an ideal tool for optimizing designs to reduce cost and improve performance. Pushing this technology up front in the development process allows us to revolutionize our designs, creating amazing new designs in fractions of the time of a traditional process.
