Tissue Engineering Research
Project Overview
TSI has a long history of supporting life science innovations at a grass-roots level with our Canadian Universities
- This project involves supporting tissue engineers with nonlinear, transient, viscoelastic simulation models to help develop artificial cartilage.
- Using LS-DYNA’s advanced material models, we can match visco-elastic test data, and then simulate the motion of a surface over a material sample.
- Results are correlated with physical testing as described in the paper, and subsequent work investigated use of these materials in developing new joint cartilage.
